Dogbone Expansion Joint
Installation should take place according to La Favorite's recommended procedures. They are available directly from La Favorite, or any authorized representative, for any qualified installation technician.
Proper installation and field splicing is required in order that the factory warranty be in full effect. Proper splicing requires specialized equipment and a factory trained technician. La Favorite does not recommend the use of conveyor belt type or cold bonding methods of splicing. These methods do not allow for the maximum reliability or lifetime performance provided by the belt. La Favorite recommends it's proprietary hot vulcanization method developed exclusively for the dogbone type expansion joint. Use of this method will insure full warranty coverage on the belt. Any other method used, or any method used by a non-qualified, or unauthorized technician may cause warranty coverage to be void.
